The Los Angeles Lakers have extended their lead at the Western Conference finals after edging past the Denver Nuggets 114-104 in Game 4 of the series.
It was a neck-and-neck contest from the onset but the Lakers won the opener 37-30. Despite their losing in the 2nd quarter, they went to their locker room with a 60 to 55 advantage.
The Nuggets, then, cut the deficit to 3 points after beating the Lakers 29-27 in the 3rd quarter.
However, the Lakers found their rhythm in the final as they took it with a 3-point margin that led to their victory.
With the victory the Lakers extended their lead to 3-1 in the Western Conference finals and they will line up against the Nuggets on Saturday on Game 5. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis and LeBron James both tallied more than half of the points for the Lakers as they collected 34 and 26 respectively while on the other side, Jamal Murray bagged 32.
