Dozens of protesters gathered on the Armoury St. on University Ave, voicing their anger over the US attack and warned that a war could takes lives of innocent people.

The US President Donald Trump gave the order for assassination of Iranian and Iraqi counter-terrorist commanders in a drone strike on their motorcade just outside Baghdad airport as General Soleimani’s flight arrived from Syria, leading to speculations that the Israeli intelligence might have played a role.

The assassination has triggered a wave of outrage in the world especially among Iranians and Iraqis, and further aligned the two neighbors with vociferous calls for revenge for what they view as “state terrorism.”
