The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has welcomed recent statements by the Russian Federation’s leadership, Foreign Minister, and other officials, expressing their political will to expand relations with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated these remarks on his X page.

According to him, nearly three years have shown that Afghanistan, after decades of war and instability, now has a responsible government.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan expresses to the Russian Federation its strong political determination to further expand and strengthen positive relations based on mutual respect and common interests for the benefit of the people of both countries.” Balkhi further remarked.

The spokesperson also mentioned that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has created a good opportunity for all regional countries to work on expanding positive relations based on bilateral priorities, and significant progress has been made with multiple countries in this regard.

Previously, in a meeting on May 28th in Tashkent, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of engaging with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, calling it significant and necessary.
