Iran played Qatar in its first match in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup on Wednesday in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan.
The match between Iran and Qatar ended with a 1-1 draw in Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent on Wednesday.
The Iranian players wore white shirts.
The Iranian team will face Turkmenistan in Bunyodkor Stadium again on Saturday after the Wednesday match against the Qatari team who came third in the last edition of the competition.
The Iranian team will play the host country Uzbekistan next Tuesday.
