Iranian minister of roads and urban development, who is heading an economic and political delegation to Damascus, met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday to discuss issues of interest.
Upon his arrival in Damascus, Rostam Ghasemi had underlined the Islamic Republic of Iran’s will to develop economic relations with Syria and achieve real economic partnerships.
During a three-day visit to Damascus, Ghasemi, who chairs the Iran-Syria Joint Economic Commission, is scheduled to meet senior Syrian officials.
