The Italian Foreign Minister congratulated Amir-Abdollahian by sending congratulation to voice readiness to expand bilateral relations.
In a message to Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Luigi Di Maio congratulated him on receiving Iran’s parliament’s vote of confidence and his taking office as Iran’s FM.
The Italian FM, in his message, expressed confidence that the useful ties between Italy and the Islamic Republic of Iran would be continued along the path of the historical friendship between the two countries under Iran’s s new administration.
The message of the Italian Foreign Minister to Amir- Abdollahian reads: “This expansion of relations will lead to the deepening of the dimensions of the dialogue between the two countries in the field of bilateral economic and cultural cooperation and regional relations.”
The Italian Foreign Minister added: “Italy will remain with Iran within the framework of the COVAX (COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access) mechanism and in the face of the current urgent health issues.”
