In telephone conversations with a number of his counterparts, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif congratulated them on Eid al-Adha and talked about bilateral and international issues.
The top Iranian diplomat on Tuesday had phone calls with the foreign ministers of Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Cuba.
In the conversation with Iraq’s Fuad Hussein, Zarif offered his sympathy to the Iraqi government and people over a recent terrorist attack that killed dozens of citizens in Baghdad’s Sadr City neighborhood.
The Iranian foreign minister also talked about Tehran’s relations with Kuwait City, Baku and Doha in separate calls with Kuwait’s Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Azerbaijan’s Jeyhun Bayramov, and Qatar’s Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, congratulating them on the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.
In another conversation with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, Zarif denounced foreign interference in the internal affairs of Cuba. The two diplomats also discussed the cooperation between Tehran and Havana.
