During the meeting, ambassador Okada expressed condolences for the recent floods that caused casualties and damages in various provinces of Afghanistan.

He commended the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s efforts in combating corruption, addressing drug trafficking, and maintaining overall security, acknowledging these achievements as noteworthy.

Mr. Okada highlighted Japan’s commitment to collaborating with Afghanistan, citing the recent $6.9 million aid provided by Japan.

Mawlawi Kabir expressed hailed Japan’s assistance and support, acknowledging that Tokyo’s stance has facilitated constructive interaction and positive relations between Afghanistan and Japan.

Meanwhile, Deputy PM Kabir reiterated that with the presence of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in Kabul and the central government’s rule under sure security, the Islamic Emirate believes that there is no need to appoint a special representative for Afghanistan.
