Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim made the remarks during a meeting with Iran’s acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani in Baghdad on Thursday evening.

He highlighted the importance of strong relations between Iraq and Iran in all fields and expressed hope that Bagheri Kani’s visit to Iraq will further strengthen the bilateral ties.

Hakim also called the resistance of the Palestinian nation a bright spot in the Islamic world and appreciated the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Palestinian resistance.

The leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement also lauded the good neighborliness policy of Iran under martyred president Ebrahim Raisi and expressed hopes that the policy will continue.

Bagheri Kani arrived in Baghdad on Thursday morning on a two-day trip.

On Friday, he traveled to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah to meet and talk with the authorities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a number of attendees of the 40th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) International Holy Quran Competition at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran on Thursday morning.

Addressing the meeting, the Supreme Leader underlined that the Gaza Strip is a big issue of the Islamic world today, urging heads of Muslim nations to announce the halt of support for the Zionist regime.

God Almighty would ask those Muslim nations who had not put pressure on their governments to stop support for the Israeli regime, he said, referring to the verses of the Holy Quran.

The Islamic world is definitely mourning for the Palestinians in Gaza, he said, adding that non-Muslim freedom-loving nations around the world are also mourners for the oppressed people in Gaza.

Resistance fighters of Palestine and especially Gaza are obeying the Quran’s directives when they fight the villain Zionist enemy; so, by the grace of God, the Palestinian nation will win in this fight, he noted.

Pointing to the importance of the Holy Quran, the Supreme Leader argued that the Quran is a panacea for all human sufferings, including spiritual problems as well as human-related challenges such as war, injustice, and oppression.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili also spoke at the event, while some competitors received awards.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi made the remarks in a meeting with Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, the newly appointed Saudi Arabian ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday.

During this meeting, Resisi received the credentials of the Saudi Arabian envoy.

Raeisi also emphasized the necessity of efforts of the diplomatic apparatus of the two countries to strengthen mutually beneficial relations and ensure the interests of the nations of the region and the Islamic world.

Referring to crimes of the Zionist regime in Occupied Lands, Raeisi said that the unified position of the Islamic world could have prevented the oppression and aggression of the Zionist regime.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that the presence of foreigners in the region not only does not solve any problems but is itself a factor in aggravating the problems.

The relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are very strong because the ties and commonalities between the two nations and countries are more than the differences between them, the Saudi Arabian ambassador said for his part.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has helped Saudi Arabia in many fields and issues, and I hope that we will witness the improvement and expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries day by day,” he added.

In a meeting with Iran’s newly-appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati before departing for Saudi Arabia, Ebrahim Raeisi called for using the existing capabilities for the development of relations between Tehran and Riyadh.

The increase of cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia in bilateral and multilateral dimensions will raise the position of the countries of the region in the regional and global equations and limit the ground for foreign interventions, Raeisi cited.

Back in March, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to a Chinese-brokered deal to revive relations after years of tensions.

Iran officially reopened its embassy in Riyadh in June, followed by its consulate in Jeddah and representative office with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad have also resumed operations.

Last month, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited Saudi Arabia, where he held “frank and fruitful” talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi,  who is on a two-day visit to Indonesia, made the remarks in the meeting with the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia Bambang Soesatyo on Tuesday.

“The progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of science and technology has placed Iran among the countries with advanced sciences such as space and nuclear sciences”, Raeisi said.

Referring to Iran’s advances in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals, the Iranian president said, “Today, a remote-controlled surgeon robot made by Iranian scientists was unveiled in Indonesia, with the help of which a doctor can operate on a disease in another city.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, president Raeisi stated that the period of unilateralism is over and added, “With these changes, new powers will be formed in the world, which is in the interest of developing countries.”

“Based on this, we believe that the oppressed people of Palestine, Yemen, and Myanmar are very close to reaching their rights,” he continued.

Bambang Soesatyo, for his part, described the relations between the two countries as historical and considered the development and deepening of the relations between Tehran and Jakarta to the benefit of the Islamic world.

He also expressed concern over the increase in violence against the oppressed people of Palestine and stressed their right to determine their own destiny.
