The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has criticized Pakistan’s actions at the Torkham border.

According to a statement from the ministry, Pakistan closed the Torkham gate and fired at Afghan security forces who were repairing a security post. The ministry expressed concern that these actions could harm trade relations between the two countries and cause losses for traders on both sides.

The ministry also mentioned an incident where a truck carrying Afghan figs to India was set on fire near a security post in Baluchistan province. This incident has created mistrust between the two countries.

Furthermore, the Pakistani government has recently held hundreds of containers of Afghan property and vehicles in Karachi under the pretext of a ‘Sensitive List’.

The ministry statement noted that Pakistan often creates problems at the port of Karachi and closes its borders as the season for fresh fruits approaches in Afghanistan. These actions not only harm trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan but also increase tensions between the people of these countries and hinder regional trade and transit.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to resolving problems through diplomatic dialogue and understanding, considering its foreign policy, which facilitates trade and transit in the region. It pointed out that such measures harm Pakistan’s economy and affect regional commercial activities.

The ministry called for solutions to such problems through dialogue to keep trade, transit, and the economy of the region unaffected, and to avoid politicizing commercial transactions.

The security authorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan confirmed that Mursal Nabizada, a former Afghan Member of Parliament, and one of her security guards were killed in Kabul earlier today.

Khalid Zadran, the Spokesperson of the Kabul Security Department confirmed to Khaam Press that Mursal Nabizada, a former representative of Laghman province in the Afghan Parliament was killed by unknown gunmen in the 12th district of Kabul city.

Khalid Zadar said that unknown gunmen entered Mursal Nabizada’s house in the “Ahmadsha Baba Mena” locality in the 12th district of Kabul city and shot two people to death last night.

He further added that perpetrators have not yet been identified and the reasons behind the killing remain unclear.

Meanwhile, Mursal Nabizada’s brother was also wounded, however, his family has yet to comment on the terror incident.

The Spokesperson further added that investigations are underway, and will share the finding with the public in this regard in a timely manner.

This comes as terror incidents including suicide attacks, targeted killing, and bombing has unprecedentedly increased in the recent past, resulting in the death in the injury of scores of Afghan servicemen and civilians.

On Wednesday, December 11, an explosion took place near the entrance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the heart of Kabul, causing serious casualties. Although Islamic State (IS) militants have been behind terror attacks in the recent past, no group claimed the responsibility for the blast.

Since the Taliban’s return to power in August 2021, security has been a major challenge for the de facto regime. The optimism the general public had with the establishment of Afghanistan’s interim administration is gradually fading.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, tweeted on Wednesday that the attack had nothing to do with Afghans or Afghanistan.

An assailant attacked three clerics with a knife in the courtyard of Imam Reza’s shrine on Tuesday, April 5, killing one cleric and wounding two others.

Iranian media reported that the attacker was a 21-year-old Uzbek from Afghanistan who entered Iran through Pakistan a year ago.

This person is named Abdul Latif Moradi. Iranian security forces have also arrested six other people, including Abdul Latif Moradi’s two brothers.

Zabihullah Mujahid was not the only Afghan official who has reacted to Mashhad terrorist attack.

Following the terrorist attack on three religious scholars and students in the courtyard of the holy shrine of Razavi, Salahuddin Rabbani, the Head of Jamiat-e- Islami Party of Afghanistan (Islamic Society of Afghanistan) in a message extended condolences to the Iranian nation on the tragic event.

He stated that such a tragic event is rooted in deviant ideas of Takfiri currents.
